Though the Institute enjoys a very high reputation in the country due to the excellent education being provided in the Institute in the field of Management. It was well known only after IIM Bangalore in the state at one point of time is now deteriorating in its reputation and existence due to lack of Building and Infrastructure. As compared to other affiliated Private B-schools in the Jurisdiction of the Karnatak University, the KIMS is standing with a much inferior infrastructure. Due to this the Institute has lost a much needed AICTE approval for running a management Institute in the country.
